Forza Horizon 2 has been announced for Xbox One and Xbox 360, and will run at 1080p and 30 FPS on the next gen Microsoft console, but isn’t still clear the framerate and resolution for the Xbox 360 version.
Here’s reported what Playground Games creative director Ralph Fulton told IGN:
I think what we did on Horizon was demonstrate that, and this is really important, a locked frame rate that’s absolutely solid and never drops is the most important thing for our game
I think I remember that’s always a hot-button topic, until a game comes out and people go, ‘Oh, this actually really works’. But 1080p was an absolute must for us, it’s the benchmark for next-gen.
The reason why the game is locked at 30 FPS instead of 60 FPS like Forza 5, is because it’s an open world game with free roaming gameplay, Ralph Fulton explained.
Forza Horizon 2 will be released for Xbox One and Xbox 360 this fall 2014.
The Xbox 360 version is being developed by Sumo Digital.
